Local Planning Committee (LPC) Meeting 1
The Village of Cazenovia will be hosting the first meeting of the Local Planning Committee on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026 at 4pm-6pm in Village Hall (90 Albany Street, Cazenovia, NY). The meeting will include a presentation about the procedures and requirements of the DRI process, followed by a 15-minute public comment period.
Public Workshop 1
Join us for Public Workshop 1 on August 4th, 2026 from 5:30pm-7pm at Village Hall (90 Albany Street, Cazenovia, NY). The public workshop will begin with a short presentation followed by interactive activities that will help shape the vision and goals for the DRI.

Open Call for Projects
The Open Call for Projects is now OPEN. To submit an application, download the Project Application from the Resources section below. The Open Call for Projects will end on August 21st at 12pm. DRI Office Hours
The project team will be available in-person (no appointment needed) to answer questions about the project application process & requirements, and all things DRI.
DRI Office Hours will take place at Village Hall on the following dates:
- Tuesday, July 28th from 1:30pm-3pm
- Tuesday August 4th from 2:30pm-4pm

What is the Downtown Revitalization Initiative?
The Village of Cazenovia is a recipient of the Round 9 Downtown Revitialization Initiative (DRI) from New York State.
New York State's Downtown Revitalization Initiative is a cornerstone of the State's economic development program. The DRI transforms downtown neighborhoods into vibrant centers that offer a high quality of life and are magnets for redevelopment, business, job creation, and economic and housing diversity. These compact, walkable downtowns are a key ingredient to helping New York State rebuild its economy from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to achieving the State’s bold climate goals by promoting the use of public transit and reducing dependence on private vehicles.
The DRI is led by the Department of State, in close partnership with Empire State Development, NYS Homes and Community Renewal and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
